Sports’ training and competition form a key part of life at Glenstal, enabling students to access the important physical health and mental wellbeing benefits of physical activity. All students are encouraged to participate in at least three sessions of sport per week, in addition to their timetabled PE classes.
Sport underscores skills like discipline, responsibility, teamwork and leadership, the development of which assists students not just on the sports’ field, in the classroom and dorms, but also into their adult lives.
There are regular competitive fixtures with other schools for all age groups in the major team and individual sports.
With a wide variety of team and individual sport on offer, we hope that each student will find a sport to suit him.
